[Meet the chihuahua]

General Appearance
Tiny- winny and very dainty we will show off our superior beauty.

Characteristics
You need to look wide awake and ready for business with a cheeky smile. Look like you mean business we are course 'simply the best.'

Temperament
We are confident and well mannered with courage that is unsurpassed. We are ready to take on any intruder, but will also welcome any friends.

Head and Skull
Our head are our best asset as it carries our very big brains. It should be well rounded looking similar to an apple (so our pets say) our nose is short and cute, it helps us you sniff out any scrummy food mmmm.

Eyes
Our eyes are our best feature. They will melt the hardest heart. They are bigger than most other breeds but they do not stick out. Our eyes are the window to our souls, warm and loving showing our our human pets our devoted love.

Ears
Our ears are big, this give us a huge advantage over our humans. Our hearing is much better than theirs . Our ears lean to the side slightly this is a very attractive feature. Our ear positions with change with our moods, if we are listening, they will be more erect as we strain to hear; They will go down if we are unsure or scared. If we do not want to confront our pack members our ears will be down as a sign of respect.

Mouth
Our jaws are strong; we make light work of our chew sticks. Our teeth should have a good strong bite, Eat plenty chew sticks or hide sticks as this will keep you teeth and gums healthy. Our teeth lock perfectly together, this will allow you to eat without any difficulty.

Neck
Our neck should be held proud and strong holding our head up so we look elegant. We will also hold our neck higher if we are the alpha dogs in the pack (boss dog) you will see we will always place our heads over the shoulders of the more junior members of the pack.

Forequarters
Our forequarters allow us to move quickly to say hello; They should be strong and well balanced as they support our body weight as we jump on and off our pet's furniture.

Body
Our bodies should be level without being to long. We should be compact like a little bundle of dynamite Our posture will change if we sense danger the hair on our back (hackles) will rise our tail held high and our nose pointing straight to the danger. This posturing lets any intruder know that we a big and strong and ready to take them on should the need arise.

Hindquarters
This is of course is my favourite part. The hindquarters are lean and well muscled, they power out swift forward movement. With the added bonus of softly rounded buttocks can drive any male Chihuahua wild.

Feet
I like ladies feet to be small and dainty. With longer toes which is a trait which was very obvious in our ancestors, in fact I find this very attractive. Keep your nails short girls, as you don't want to scratch your pet's legs.

Tail
Know this is the part of the body that shows off that cute little butt, A tail that is curled up and over the back makes me wanna wolf whistle, I love to see that tail wagging. When we are nervous we often carry our tails down and tucked between our legs. Our tail carriage is the best way for us to tell you we don't like what we see. Our tail can tell many stories, we wagg when we are happy, we keep it up high and stiff if we think there is danger.

Gait/Movement
When we walk we should do so with pride. We should move forward with purposse, along with forward impulsion; we should look as though we are on a mission, even if we are just trotting up the garden for a pee.

Coat (Smoothcoat)
Our Chiquita has a good example of a smooth coat's coat; It should be short and smooth not harsh, with a nice shine

Coat (Longcoat)
I have an wonderful coat it is long and full, with a tail that looks like and fountain as it flows up and over my back. I have a good pair of trousers to keep my legs warm. A thick ruff on my chest and neck. My coat is not wavy it is straight. It is also acceptable to have a slightly curly coat as Tinkerbelle has. This is also thick and slightly curled, plentiful especially around the neck and ruff.

Colour
We can be any colour from cream to black, with patches or without any colour can be seen.

Size
We are small and agile, usually we weight between 2-6lbs if you are to go to the royal gatherings (shows) then you need to be under 6 pounds, in fact the smaller you are the more appreciated you become.

Faults
Some Chihuahuas do have faults, but I'm perfect (Allegedly)

Note
If you are a male Chihuahua you need to have all your bits in the right place if you know what I mean.
