Hi we have introduced this corner so that us 'pets' can get a word in edge ways. Believe me when I tell you that Casper steals the limelight all the time, so it was with his permission that we could tell you a little about Casper's Chihuahuas. Primarily it is a site for Chihuahua lovers, to let you share some of the joy we have had with our wonderful pets (royal family) and the precious moments we have enjoyed, whilst trying to give you our first hand accounts of experiences with them.

Casper was my very first Chihuahua, and boy what a little piece of dynamite, at first we had a real dominance problem with Casper and he ruled the roost (actually he still does) I fell in love with this dynamic little fellow, he was cute and sassy his personality was very individual. I have had dogs for over 25 years but never have I come across a breed that commands attention as the Chihuahua's do.

When I decided to get a second Chihuahua I decided to get a Bitch, this was a conscious decision I knew with Casper being so dominant it wouldn't be easy for me to introduce another male, hence the arrival of tinkerbelle. She was a breath of fresh air I couldn't believe that two Chihuahuas could be so different. Casper really loved having company. Casper has become more loving and less dominant, and it made me realise that Chihuahua's are pack animals and they love the company of other Chihuahuas. (And so did I). Chihuahua's deserve a home for 'life' if you can not offer this then perhaps a dog is not for you.

What I did find when looking at the breed was there were many myths about the breed and most of which are incredibly far fetched and somewhat hilarious I'm sure you may find some of these amusing I can only ask if anyone has had any of these things happen to their Chihuahua please let me know and we will relate your story.

Funny Chihuahua Tales

• A Chihuahua can drop dead if another dog barks at it and gives it a fright!
• A Chihuahua looses an inch off its legs every time it has pups.
  (this was told to me by a breeder I nearly collapsed on the floor laughing)

  The original Chihuahua was the size of a Labrador.

  (let me guess it had 50 litters and shrunk down to size )
