Chihuahuas have always been popular in show business. Their small size and cute look made them an instant hit with Hollywood. Chihuahuas are highly intelligent and very quick learners. As early as the beginning of the 1800s Chihuahuas broke into show business.

A British performer Rosina Casselli had a group of 12 or more chis' which were part of her act. They performed on stage showing off their vast library of tricks.

Chihuahua have been depicted in many Disney films TV show, cartoons, art shows etc, they are truly the stars of the dog world. Of course we all ready new that didn't we? I know we all wonder which of the rich and famous have owned our adorable chi's? Well believe me, I hunted the net far and wide and came up with a few celebrities I knew of and some I didn't.

Madonna and chiquitta

Madonna 's chihuahuas are called Chiquita and Rossetta, she no longer has them, as they were jealous of Lourdes and Rocco (her human babies). I here that little Chiquita and Rossetta are just about to star in their first movie called 'fast sofa' along side Eric Roberts and Jake Busey. Not bad for two little cuties. Hope you like the picture. Rosie O'Donnell - actress and chat show hostess has two longcoat chi's called Buster and Valentine. Arnold Schwarzenegger-actor- would love to see a pic of these two. We wrote to Arnold and received a reply to say he was going to try to hunt a photo out for us (so we are keeping our fingers crossed).

• Mickey Rourke-actor- has a smooth coat called Bo Jack that travels every where with him he's is reported to have stormed off the set of his lastest movie as the director wouldn't allow his chi on the set (to right! Go! Go! Mickey.)
• Martina Navratilova - tennis champion
• Marilyn Monroe -actress-Marilyn had a Chihuahua, at the time she was signed by Columbia Pictures in 1948.
• Billie Holliday- Actress/singer- had a chi that like to get drunk on shots of gin.
• Vincent Price - actor
• Gertrude Stein-entertainer
• Charo-entertainer
• Tim Burton-Entertainer-has a chi called Poppy who was the star in Mars Attacks,she had had no acting lessons yet stole the show. Just goes to show how intelligent our chis are.

Leighanne with Tyk

Backstreet boy Brian Littrell has two chi's both cream called Tyke and Litty, they just survived a dognapping in hollywood but are now safely home with there parents. See picture of Leighanne, Brians wife, with their chi Tyke. All saints (Appleton twins)-singers- have a chi each. The chi's are said to be sisters. Perhaps you may know who bred them(the dogs that is) Zsa Zsa Gabor - owns 3 chihuahua's they regularly enjoy hosting their own dinner parties Zsa Zsa spares no expence for her pampered pooches.

• David Boreanaz ( Angel)-actor another very lucky dog (woof woof)
• Jennifer Lopez -singer actress-sent her chi to a pet behaviourist as she was out of control,(what's new Jennifer be glad you don't live with Casper and his clan)
• Jennifer Love Hewit-actress- Has a pet chihuahua, called Mia, who accidentally pee'd on TV chat show host Jay Leno during an appearance on his show.(the dogs got good taste )
• Reese Witherspoon-actor- has a chi, which helped as he is currently staring in a movie with a chi called Buster ,there is a picture of Buster (aka bruiser) below.

Bruiser in 'Legally Blonde'

Latest chihuahua superstar - Bruiser Facts: Legally Blonde due for release in the cinema in july 2001 Bruiser wasn't supposed to be in the movie as much as he ended up. The director and cast loved him and he ended up being in the film much more than originally anticipated. Reese really liked him and they got along well. Reese has a Chihuahua at home, and is used to little dogs. There were a few times when he was a little difficult to work with because he didn't do what he was supposed to do. In the dorm scenes, Bruiser was scripted to look animated, however he'd jump up on the bed and fall asleep. His trainer had to jump around like a madwoman, trying to get his attention.

Of course this page wouldnt be complete with out the tacobell dogs. Yas I said dogs as there were actuall 3 tacobell dogs we have photos of 'Gidget' the original tacodog and 'Dinky' his predecessor.
